Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a General Practice Hospital Manager to lead a high-performing hospital team in Brooklyn, NY, partnering with the Medical Director to drive clinical excellence, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance, develop staff, and maintain an engaging, compassionate workplace aligned with our Culture of CARE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, health sciences, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of practice, healthcare, hospitality, or service-oriented operations with management experience of at least two years.
• CVPM, MHA, or other relevant certification or advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and practice management or related business systems.
• An equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
• Reliable and consistent attendance is required.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities during an 8-hour day.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital support teams, fostering an inclusive, supportive, high-performing culture while managing labor goals and working with Medical Director and PetVet leadership.
• Champion company priorities and the Culture of CARE, translating them into hospital actions.
• Attract, onboard, develop, schedule, and retain high-performing support team members with a focus on the Ultimate Care Experience.
• Coach and motivate teams with feedback, recognition, development, and clear expectations; address performance concerns with accountability.
• Build team capability and engagement by identifying growth opportunities and supporting career progression.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and overtime management are effective.
• Apply policies and ensure team understands new procedures and expectations.
• Lead daily hospital operations to support safe, efficient, collaborative care.
