Job summary

Heart of Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital, part of PetVet Care Centers, seeks an experienced Hospital Manager to lead operations, finances, and team performance in a busy, small-animal practice in Brooklyn, NY.

You will partner with the Medical Director to deliver exemplary care, improve client experience, and ensure regulatory compliance while developing staff and optimizing hospital performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, health sciences, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years in practice, healthcare, hospitality, or service-oriented operations with management experience.
• CVPM or equivalent certification or advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management or related systems.
• Reliable and consistent attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital support teams with an inclusive, high‑performing culture and manage labor goals.
• Champion CARE culture and translate priorities into hospital actions.
• Attract, onboard, develop, schedule, and retain high‑performing staff.
• Coach performance with feedback, recognition, and development.
• Manage hospital operations to support safe, efficient care.
• Oversee client and patient flow, scheduling, and service delivery.
