Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Tupelo, MS is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to operate PET/CT scanners for diagnostic imaging, with a focus on patient-centered care and safety. This per-diem role offers varied hours and requires clear communication and compliance with HIPAA.

Responsibilities include imaging, patient prep, record keeping in RIS, quality control, and assisting with departmental duties as needed. Certification and licensure as required are essential.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET/CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images.
• Screen patients and ensure correct patient and procedure identifiers.
• Explain procedures and position patients for optimal imaging.
• Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging with minimal supervision.
• Maintain patient records in RIS and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Conduct quality control and ensure safety standards in the PET/CT department.
