Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Lewiston, ME seeks a PET/CT Technologist to operate scanners for diagnostic imaging, guiding patients with excellent service. This per diem role requires independent PET/CT proficiency, compliance with safety standards, and accurate RIS record-keeping.

Qualified candidates hold NMTCB or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine, AMA radiography training, and CPR certification; CT and NMTCB PET certifications are preferred. We offer DailyPay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
• Graduate of the AMA approved school of radiography.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must competently perform PET/CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patient before exam using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Explain and prepare patients for PET/CT imaging procedures and position patients accordingly.
• Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scan parameters using dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
• Maintain patient records in RIS and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per NRC/state regulations and policies.
