Job summary

Akumin is seeking PET/CT technologists who can connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety while producing high-quality PET/CT images. The role spans freestanding outpatient centers, mobile units and hospital facilities, reflecting great flexibility.

Requirements include a high school diploma (Associate’s degree preferred), NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, CPR, a state license as needed, and 1–2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience. Some local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required.
• State license as required; CPR certification required.
• 1-2 years' Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety with pre-screening, aseptic technique and radiation safety.
• Produce high-quality PET/CT diagnostic images.
• Communicate with patients, radiologists and team members.
• Assist with training new technologists and staff.
• Troubleshoot scanners, coaches, and peripheral equipment.
