Job summary

Akumin Inc. seeks a PET/CT Technologist to perform high-quality PET/CT imaging across multiple sites, ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will interpret orders, select imaging parameters, and communicate results to clinicians with focus on accuracy and compassion.

The role requires NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, CPR, and state licensing as applicable, with 1-2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred. Willingness to travel between locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Certification NMTCB or ARRT(N) required; CPR certification required; state license as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening, aseptic technique, and radiation safety documentation.
• Produce high-quality PET/CT images with appropriate imaging parameters.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists about procedures and results.
• Train new technologists and/or staff as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
