Job summary

Akumin Inc. is seeking a PET/CT technologist to perform high-quality PET/CT imaging across outpatient centers. The role emphasizes patient safety, radiopharmaceutical handling, and accurate image acquisition under physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification, CPR, and state licensure, with 1–2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience. Travel between locations may be required; vaccination and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required.
• State licensure and CPR certification.
• 1–2 years Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license; local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment; pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety compliance.
• Pre-screen for contraindications and use aseptic technique.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and staff.
• Train new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
