Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for our Modesto, CA location. This full-time role involves patient interaction, image acquisition, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure accurate studies.

You will support safety protocols, equipment operation, and patient comfort in a multi-site outpatient setting. The ideal candidate has Nuclear Medicine certification (NMTCB/ARRT), a state license, CPR, and the ability to work at multiple locations, with strong customer service and organizational

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license. Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening, aseptic technique, and radiation safety, with proper documentation for handling radioactive materials.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
