Job summary

Akumin is hiring a full-time PET/CT Technologist for our Merced mobile team, with travel to partner sites in Tracy and Modesto. You will perform PET/CT imaging, ensure patient safety and comfort, and communicate with radiologists to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, a state license as applicable, CPR, and willingness to travel across sites including freestanding centers, mobile coaches, and hospital settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PC's.
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
