Job summary

Akumin is hiring a full-time PET/CT Technologist for our Merced mobile team, supporting partner sites in Tracy and Modesto. The role involves producing high-quality PET/CT images, ensuring patient safety, and communicating with patients and radiologists across multiple locations.

Qualified candidates hold NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, CPR, state license as required, and High School diploma; an Associate’s degree is preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• As applicable, valid state driver's license.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen patients for safety and radiation safety; document and handle radioactive materials.
• Produce high quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach and peripheral equipment.
