Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for our Modesto, CA facility. The role is full-time and involves performing PET/CT imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and coordinating with radiologists to deliver high-quality studies.

The ideal candidate holds NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, a state license as required, CPR, and the ability to work at multiple sites. Strong customer service and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT(N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license. Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety; proper documentation when working with radioactive materials/patients.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
