Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking a Per Diem PET/CT Technologist in Houston to perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals and manage imaging documentation. The role requires radiology and nuclear medicine accreditation, patient communication skills, and adherence to safety standards.

The position involves high-quality imaging, IV radiopharmaceutical administration, QA/QC tasks, and collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine and Radiology departments to ensure

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine
• Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine program
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General
• Certificate BLS through American Heart Association
• PET/CT clinical rotation within an approved NM program
• Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition Venipuncture
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Imaging: Performs all aspects of PET/CT, diagnostic CT exams according to policies, procedures and protocols of the KSC nuclear medicine and radiology department.
• The technologist prepares and positions patients for scanning and operates nuclear medicine instruments and imaging equipment.
• Understands and applies technical principles affecting optimal production of images affecting the final product.
• Understands age related communication needs of patients and is able to effectively convey instructions to patients
