Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston is seeking a Per Diem PET/CT Technologist to perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT exams, administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast, and document exams in EMR/RIS/PACS.

You will follow safety policies, participate in quality control, maintain a clean environment, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate imaging results.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine program.
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General certification.
  • Certificate BLS through American Heart Association.
  • PET/CT clinical rotation within an approved NM program.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition Venipuncture.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Imaging: Performs all aspects of PET/CT, diagnostic CT exams according to policies and protocols of the KSC nuclear medicine and radiology department.
  • Administration of Radioactive Materials: IV administration of radioactive materials for diagnostic or therapeutic applications; performs waived testing and other duties.
  • Quality Control: Performs QA on PET CT and General Nuclear Medicine instrumentation; maintains QC documentation and clean environment.
  • Safety: Follows radiation safety protocols and completes patient screening per national guidelines.
  • Environment of Care: Maintains equipment, supplies, and a safe patient environment; reports barriers and ensures OSHA and accreditation standards.
  • Human Resources: Participates in continuing education and clinic quality improvement; supports teamwork and orientation of new staff.
