Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem PET/CT Technologist in Houston to perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure quality control per department policies. You will document exams using EMR/RIS/PACS and uphold radiation safety standards.

Requirements include a Nuclear Medicine program graduate with NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General certification and BLS. Local travel and on-site work at multiple Houston locations may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Nuclear Medicine program graduate; Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine.
• Pet/CT clinical rotation in an approved NM program.
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General Certificate; BLS through AHA.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition; Venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Imaging: Performs PET/CT and diagnostic CT exams per department protocols.
• Administers radioactive materials and contrast as needed; documents procedures.
• Performs QA/QC on PET/CT and NM instrumentation.
• Maintains safety and regulatory compliance for radiation safety.
• Supports environment of care, equipment maintenance, and patient safety.
• Participates in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
