Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, part of Optum, is seeking a Per Diem PET/CT Technologist to perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and document exams according to department policies.

The technologist will work within the Nuclear Medicine and Radiology departments, ensure radiation safety, operate EMR/RIS/PACS systems, and maintain quality control and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
• Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine.
• Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine program.
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General.
• Certificate BLS through American Heart Association.
• PET/CT clinical rotation within an approved NM program.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition Venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Imaging: Performs PET/CT and diagnostic CT exams per department policies and protocols.
• Administration of Radioactive Materials: IV administration of radioactive materials and related procedures, with safety explanations.
• Quality Control: QA of PET/CT and nuclear medicine instrumentation; calibrations and documentation.
• Safety: Adheres to radiation safety protocols and patient safety screening.
• Environment of Care: Maintains equipment, supplies, and safe patient environment; reports hazards.
• Human Resources: Participates in continuing education and supports team collaboration.
• Communication: Interacts professionally with staff, providers, and patients.
