Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem PET/CT Technologist to perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure safety and quality control across the Nuclear Medicine and Radiology departments in Houston. You will work with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required credentials include an Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine, NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
• Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine.
• Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine program.
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General certification.
• BLS through American Heart Association.
• PET/CT clinical rotation within an approved NM program.

Responsibilities

• Imaging: Performs PET/CT and diagnostic CT exams per policies and protocols.
• Administers radioactive materials intravenously and explains procedures.
• Quality control: conducts QC on PET CT and NM instrumentation and maintains documentation.
• Safety: follows radiation safety protocols and completes patient screening.
• Environment of care: maintains equipment, supplies, and safe environment.
• Human resources: participates in education and quality improvement activities.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and maintain professional appearance.
