Job summary

American Oncology Network seeks a PET/CT Technologist I to accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate PET/CT equipment, and ensure high quality diagnostic images. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and patient support in a fast-paced radiology department.

Ideal candidates will have NMTCB/ARRT certification, an active license if required, and at least 1 year of PET/CT experience. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with rare travel to other locations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Certified NMTCB or ARRT; dual Radiographer/CT preferred.
  • State license if required; CPR/BLS current.
  • English fluency; Spanish desirable.
  • Minimum 1 year PET/CT experience; recent grads eligible.
  • M-F, 8am–5pm; travel rarely.

Responsibilities

  • Inject radiopharmaceuticals and contrast per SOP and care standards.
  • Operate PET/CT Scanner to obtain diagnostic cross‑section images.
  • Perform QA checks on PET/CT and hot lab equipment.
  • Ensure correct patient identification and proper protocol adherence.
  • Explain procedures and safety to patients; assist during tests.
  • Maintain patient schedules and documentation in EMR.
  • Keep equipment safe and comply with HIPAA and regulatory rules.
  • Assist in training new staff and support across locations.

Education

BS Degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field
