Job summary

Tennessee Oncology, a leading community-based cancer care provider, seeks a PET/CT Technologist to operate a hybrid PET/CT scanner and perform diagnostic CT exams and PET/CT imaging under the Director of Imaging.

You will comply with NRC and state regulations for handling radioactive isotopes, ensure high-quality patient care, mentor new staff, and uphold imaging center procedures with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine.
  • NMTCB or ARRT PET/NM certification required; ARRT CT certification preferred.
  • Minimum one year CT experience; may be waived with director approval.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hybrid PET/CT scanner for diagnostic CT exams and PET/CT imaging.
  • Follow NRC and state licensing rules for handling radioactive isotopes.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
  • Orient and mentor new staff members.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and professional behavior.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Imaging Centers policies and procedures.
