Job summary

Associates in Medical Imaging, LLC seeks a PET Technologist to operate PET/CT scanners for diagnostic purposes. The role emphasizes patient preparation, image acquisition, quality control, and collaboration with radiologists and other health care professionals.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered, and certified as a nuclear medicine technologist (ARRT or NMTCB). This is a full-time position in an outpatient center environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program; ARRT registered.
  • Certified nuclear medicine technologist (ARRT or NMTCB) is required.
  • PET/CT experience or CT training with 500 clinical hours.

Responsibilities

  • Operate PET/CT scanner for data acquisition and image reconstruction.
  • Prepare patients and educate prior to PET/CT procedures.
  • Maintain records in imaging and radiology information systems.
  • Ensure safety/protection protocols for radiation exposure.
  • Communicate with radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and patients.
  • Perform quality control and maximize productivity.
