Job summary

American Oncology Network seeks a PET/CT Technologist to administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images under physician supervision.

You will handle radiopharmaceuticals, ensure safety, and comply with regulatory standards while delivering patient-centered care across the cancer care team. A certificate registry and BLS are required or preferred, with on-site responsibilities in the Arizona region.

Qualifications

  • High school education required.
  • 1 year of PET Technologist experience preferred.
  • ARRT Certification preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Must pass Nuclear Medicine or PET Registry exam within 6 months if recent graduate.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, calculate, administer, measure, and record radiopharmaceutical dosages in accordance with physician prescriptions; perform diagnostic imaging procedures and produce accurate images for physician interpretation.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, calibration, and disposal of radioactive materials; maintain imaging and laboratory equipment; comply with all safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients, provide assistance during examinations, protect patient rights, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
