Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Regional PET/CT technologist to provide exceptional patient care while performing imaging procedures. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to work in various environments, including outpatient centers and mobile units.

The ideal applicant has a high school diploma (or equivalent) along with certification in Nuclear Medicine. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, producing diagnostic images, and training new staff. A commitment to diversity and equal opportunity is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique.
• Maintain radiation safety and adhere to regulations.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PC’s.
• Troubleshoot the scanner and peripheral equipment.
