West Side Pet Clinic in Buffalo, NY is seeking a dedicated, client-focused Veterinary Receptionist for a full-time role. You bring transferable experience from medical or hospitality settings and provide compassionate, professional service to clients and their pets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of front desk or reception experience in a medical, dental, urgent care, veterinary, or high-volume service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with appointment scheduling, multi-line phones, data entry, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients at the front desk in a welcoming manner.
• Answer multi-line phone system and handle scheduling inquiries.
• Process payments and schedule future appointments.
• Support clients under stress with composure and empathy.
• Maintain accurate records in the practice management system.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to relay messages and manage daily operations.
• Keep reception and waiting area clean and orderly.
