Petco is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to deliver knowledgeable and compassionate service on the sales floor of our Pet Care Center. You will mentor newer associates, support leadership with operations, and help customers select products and services that best meet their pets’ needs.

This role emphasizes customer experience, product knowledge, and teamwork, with opportunities to develop leadership skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience and customer service background.
• Passion for animals and knowledge of pet care preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and professionalism in handling customer concerns.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate service.
• Educate customers on promotions, services, and loyalty programs.
• Support store sales goals through effective selling and service behaviors.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment.
• Mentor and train new associates on policies and standards.
• Act as floor leader when needed and assist management with escalated concerns.
