Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to deliver exceptional experiences for pets and their caregivers on the sales floor.

You will mentor teammates, support store operations, and help develop newer associates while providing knowledgeable, compassionate service rooted in a love for pets. The role emphasizes leading by example on selling behaviors, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring a clean, welcoming Pet Care Center environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment.
• Passion for animals and knowledge of pet care preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate service to customers.
• Assist with merchandising, restocking, and visual presentation to maintain store standards.
• Mentor and train new and junior associates on policies and service expectations.
• Support management with escalated customer concerns and operational needs.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned and provide floor leadership when needed.
