Job summary

Dog Star Ranch is seeking a friendly Receptionist to join the Guest Services team. You will greet clients and their dogs, manage front desk tasks, and assist with bookings and payments in a welcoming environment.

The role is part-time with potential to become full-time, working a Wednesday–Saturday schedule. Starting pay is $15/hour, with opportunities to grow as the business expands while maintaining a dog-friendly atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable around dogs and clients.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and dogs warmly upon arrival.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Schedule reservations for daycare, boarding, grooming, and services.
• Check pets in and out accurately.
• Confirm client info, care instructions, vaccination records, and service details.
• Process invoices, payments, and retail purchases.
• Give facility tours to potential new clients.
• Explain services, policies, and procedures clearly.
• Help clients choose services or add-ons that benefit their pets.
• Communicate with team about arrivals, departures, and special instructions.
• Keep front desk, lobby, and retail area clean and organized.
• Assist with administrative tasks, reminders, and client follow-up.
• Handle client concerns calmly with management support when needed.
