Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience in veterinary practice or customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient and professional demeanor.
• Strong telephone and computer skills; able to work in a team.
• Preferred: Experience using a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls appropriately.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and review online bookings.
• Greet visitors and patients by name; notify staff as needed.
• Monitor wait times and assist during peak times or emergencies.
• Participate in training of new staff and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure waiting area is clean and well-stocked.
• Confirm appointments by client preference (phone, email, text) the prior day.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
