Job summary

Petco's Vetco Total Care hospital is seeking a Concierge who will be the first and last point of contact for clients. You will manage the front desk, greet patients by name, and ensure a warm, efficient visit from arrival to departure.

You will coordinate appointments, maintain the calendar, support staff during busy times, and uphold a clean, welcoming waiting area. The role requires compassion, clear communication, and teamwork, with on-site supervision by the Hospital Office Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of vet practice or customer-facing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, sympathetic and professional under stress.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and adapt.
• Preferred: Experience with a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls appropriately.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and schedule bookings.
• Greet visitors; notify staff on arrival; manage waiting times.
• Assist in training new staff and share knowledge.
• Keep waiting area clean and well stocked.
• Confirm appointments by client’s preferred method.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
