Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to work with the veterinary team, supporting exam preparation, client education, and compassionate patient care. You will help maintain a clean, efficient hospital environment and assist during examinations and treatments to support optimal pet health.

Ideal candidates will be able to multi-task, communicate clearly, and uphold Banfield's Five Principles while providing friendly service to clients and their pets.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and manage several tasks with accuracy.
• Fluent English communication in writing and speaking.
• Organizational approach to assignments and workflows.
• Strong problem-solving to translate issues into practical steps.
• Customer-focused, delivering attentive and informative service.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely (oral/written).
• Basic arithmetic, rate, unit conversions understanding.
• Proficient computer skills with common software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and supplies for examinations.
• Explain preventive care and wellness plans to clients.
• Assist with restraining pets during procedures.
• Set up and run routine in-house tests as allowed.
• Maintain comfort of hospitalized pets and care for daily needs.
• Clean and sanitize surgical suite and instruments.
• Keep hospital clean and organized per protocols.
• Support Client Services Coordinator as needed.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
