Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary medical team in delivering high-quality care for pets. You will prepare treatment rooms, help with examinations, and provide client education to promote preventive care and wellness plans.

The role involves assisting during examinations, preparing in-house tests, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the hospital. Strong English communication and multitasking abilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and speaks fluent English, using appropriate grammar and vocabulary.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• One year of related experience preferred with customer service emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical items and supplies for the veterinarian.
• Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules.
• Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance with position.
• Provide client education regarding preventive care and wellness plans.
• Assist with hospital operations and client services as needed.
