Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary team in delivering top-quality care for pets in a friendly, efficient environment. The role centers on preparation, basic lab work, and helping with examinations while ensuring patient comfort and client satisfaction.

You will educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans, support a busy pet hospital, and collaborate with a dedicated team to uphold hospital standards and Five Principles.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task across duties while maintaining accuracy and calm under distractions.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken, with clear professional grammar.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to turn chaos into order.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and medical supplies for examinations and procedures.
• Set up basic in-house lab tests as allowed by state rules.
• Assist in keeping the hospital clean and organized, including cages and equipment.
• Educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans for pets.
• Support Client Services and assist during examinations as needed.
