Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to work with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets, in a welcoming and efficient manner.

You will support examination preparation, client education, and basic in-house lab work while following hospital protocols and the Five Principles. Weekend and evening hours are required, and a strong customer service mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify Banfield Five Principles with the team
• Prepare treatment room and supplies for examinations
• Provide client education on preventive care and wellness plans
• Support to Client Services Coordinator as needed
• Hold or restrain pets during exams or treatments
• Prepare routine in-house lab tests as allowed by rules
• Maintain comfort and cleanliness of hospitalized patients and areas
• Assist with housekeeping and instrument cleaning as outlined
