The Animal Care Center of Polaris is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. You will greet clients at the front desk and support the medical staff in the back, balancing customer service with hands-on animal care.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility.
High school diploma or equivalent; Veterinary Assistant certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet clients, check patients in/out, answer multi-line calls.
Schedule appointments, surgeries, and drop-offs; maintain electronic medical records.
Process payments, explain basic estimates/bills to clients.
Refill prescriptions under veterinary supervision and manage front-desk inventory.
Safely restrain animals during exams and procedures.
Prep exam rooms and assist with vital statistics collection.
Disinfect exam tables and kennels per hospital protocols.
Assist in preparing laboratory samples and standardizing equipment.
