Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management, inspect properties, identify pests, and apply approved treatments. You will educate customers on prevention, build relationships, and help grow service sales while adhering to safety regulations.

The role involves operating a company vehicle, maintaining equipment, and working in various environments. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by regulations.
• Able to work Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to learn all areas of pest control.

Responsibilities

• Perform pest management services for residential customers.
• Inspect properties for infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Identify pests and apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps.

Job description

• Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
• Inspect client properties for pest infestations, damage, and entry points
• Identify pest types and apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps
• Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestations
• Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
• Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
• Maintain, stock, and inspect pest control equipment
• Follow federal, state, and local pest control and safety regulations
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
• Communicate with clients about pest control solutions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license in state of residence
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
• Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
• Willingness to learn all areas of pest control
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills sufficient to follow product-label mixing instructions
• Customer-facing experience preferred
• Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
• Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
