Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management, inspections, and product applications. You will educate clients on prevention and build lasting relationships, while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, relevant licenses, and a willingness to learn all areas of pest control; strong communication and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Available to work Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks.
• Build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand products to new customers.
• Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle.
• Perform residential pest management services, identify pest types, and determine appropriate treatments.
• Communicate pest control solutions to clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills, including following instructions for mixing products on labels
• Clean shaven face for respirator safety
• Customer-facing experience preferred
• Ability to work in confined spaces, around animals, insects, mechanical parts, electrical current, heights, fumes, dust, and chemicals
• Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
• Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Ability to wear OSHA-compliant personal protective equipment, including a respirator
