Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Pest Control Technician to deliver residential pest management and safety-compliant service. You will inspect properties, identify pests, apply treatments, and educate customers on prevention.

The role requires driving a company vehicle, strong communication, and the ability to work in varied environments and conditions. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers.
• Inspect client properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Determine pest types and apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks.
• Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments.
• Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers.
• Maintain, stock, and inspect pest control equipment.
• Follow local, state, and federal pest control and safety regulations.
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle.
• Work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors, and varied physical environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


• Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence


• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations


• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed


• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control


• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills


• Basic math skills, including following product-label mixing instructions


• Clean-shaven face for respirator safety


• Customer-facing experience preferred


• Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate


• Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals


• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
