Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a pest control technician to service residential customers in Georgia. You will perform inspections, identify pests, determine appropriate control methods, and apply approved products while adhering to safety standards.

You will educate clients on prevention, build relationships, schedule visits, and assist with sales to expand the customer base. Maintain equipment and comply with regulations in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Job description

• Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
• Determine the type of pest infestation
• Apply approved chemicals, baits, traps, and other pest control products while following safety standards
• Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks
• Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
• Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
• Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment
• Follow federal, state, and local pest control product and safety regulations
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
• Work safely in residential and outdoor environments and use required PPE

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
• Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
• Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills and ability to follow product-label mixing instructions
• Customer-facing experience preferred
• Ability to work in tight, confined spaces
• Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
• Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
• Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
