Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our field team in Fayetteville, AR. You will conduct thorough inspections, identify infestations, and apply approved treatments to protect residential homes.

You will educate clients on prevention, build relationships, and support sales opportunities with existing and new customers. You will maintain equipment, comply with safety regulations, and operate a company vehicle while working in varied indoor and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver’s license from state of residence
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations; covered by the employer
Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control

Responsibilities

Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify infestations, damage, and entry points
Determine pest infestation types and apply approved chemicals, baits, traps, and other treatments
Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks
Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment
Comply with local, state, and federal pest control and safety regulations
Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
Work safely in residential indoor and outdoor environments and confined spaces

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations; covered by the employer
Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills, including ability to follow instructions for mixing products according to labels
Customer-facing experience preferred
Clean-shaven face required for respirator safety
Ability to work in tight, confined spaces
Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in pest management services, including thorough inspections, pest identification, and application of treatments. Possesses strong customer relationship skills and compliance with safety regulations.
