Req#: 24277 Overview Responsible for providing enterprise-wide Personnel and other Security support functions as part of the Vectrus Security team. Works on assignments that range from simple to complex in nature. Initiative and sound judgement are required in performance of tasks performed under this function. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Conduct SCI, SAP, and DoD processing of personnel security applications for perspective candidates and employees. Determine whether subjects of investigation can be granted reciprocity by a completed investigation from another agency Assist with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) management functions to include making and maintaining open/close procedures and schedules, conducting site briefs, making and programing badges, conducting walkthroughs of the facility, responding to alarms within specified time, enforcing SCIF rules and procedures, assist with conducting inspections to ensure compliance with security guidelines, assist with maintaining accreditation and associated documentation Use of security databases, such as, DISS. Familiarization with DoD guidance, NISPOM, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), DD254s, and additional access caveats, such as SAP, CNWDI, RD, FRD, and NATO Use customer systems to initiate and invite personnel to complete their questionnaire in the appropriate U.S. Government system. Interface with personnel in support of their investigations; assist with e-QIP access issues or questions Review investigative documents completed by personnel for errors, omissions, and quality Work with applicants and points of contact (Security, HR, Program) on case issues Receive notification from U.S. Government regarding background investigation case matters and refer such information to appropriate staff personnel Perform security functions to include; update and maintain personnel security databases and repositories; create employee security records Handle sensitive inquires made by internal and external customers and employees Follow-up on correspondence from both internal and external customers requiring review, approval and /or response Respond to telephone or written inquiries on complex matters, pending case questions, and status requests Process and maintain incoming and outgoing visit access letters (VAL) and visitor access requests (VAR) Prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials which involve the use of Microsoft Office Assist with routine and non-routine administrative requirements on project/program related efforts Perform other related duties as required Scan and/or attach case documents to various systems Perform other clerical support; e.g., photocopying, faxing, material assembly, etc. Qualifications Education/Experience: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associates degree or equivalent years of experience. Four (4) years of DoD Personnel security (PERSEC) experience. Two (2) years of experience supporting SCIF management and SAP programs. Security Clearance Requirement: Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Poly. Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information. Other Requirements: Must be a United States Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain Personnel Security Clearance eligibility. Must have a working knowledge of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS). Must have a working knowledge of the Security Information Management System (SIMS). Must have a working knowledge of DoD Personnel Security procedures including but not limited to Authorization for Smart Card Login Access (ASCL), Trusted Associate Sponsorship System (TASS) and Synchronized Pre-deployment Operational Tracker (SPOT). Working knowledge of the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) G2 database. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Works well in a team environment. Ability to multi-task.
