Job summary

One Federal Solution is seeking a Personnel Security Assistant to support a Government client in Arlington, VA. The role involves handling federal background investigations, NBIS eApp processing, fingerprinting, and security-related inquiries for personnel safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NBIS eApp, NCIC/NLETS inquiries, and sensitive PII, with strong Microsoft Office proficiency. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years specialized experience as a Personnel Security Assistant.
• Minimum of three (3) years of NBIS eApp experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of NCIC/NLETS inquiries and credit checks.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of federal personnel security processes.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must successfully undergo and maintain a Tier 4 Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial investigation level based on position requirements.
• Perform preliminary record checks with CVS to validate requirements.
• Initiate NBIS eApp for background investigation forms.
• Assist applicants with NBIS eApp access and processing issues.
• Review submitted background information for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and determine if further inquiries are needed.
• Support processing of initial investigations and reinvestigations.
• Fingerprint applicants and conduct NCIC/NLETS inquiries.
• Perform background checks as required.
• Coordinate with agencies and personnel on requirements and case status.
• Maintain accurate security records and protect PII.
• Use Microsoft Office to manage security information.
• Provide additional personnel security support as needed.
