Job summary

Mayvin, Inc. seeks a Personnel Security Assistant to support the Office of Security Programs for the U.S. Marshals Service.

The role involves working with government agencies, contractors, and federal employees to support background investigations and reinvestigations. Success requires a U.S. citizen, ability to pass a BI and T4 high-risk public trust clearance, and experience with NBIS eApp, CVS, NCIC/NLETS, and credit checks.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma.
• Minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience as a personnel security assistant.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with initiation and review of NBIS eApp (electronic application).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting NCIC/NLETS inquiries and performing credit checks.

Responsibilities

• Determine the appropriate level of initial investigation and reinvestigation based on position designation.
• Conduct preliminary CVS checks to verify designation requirements for reciprocal investigations.
• Invite candidates into NBIS eApp and assist with access issues.
• Fingerprint applicants and employees; conduct NCIC/NLETS inquiries and perform credit checks.

Mayvin is seeking a Personnel Security Assistant to support the Office of Security Programs within the U.S. Marshals Service. The Personnel Security Assistant will work with other Government Agencies, Contractors, and Federal Employees to support initial investigations and reinvestigations for the federal background investigation process.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must undergo and pass a background investigation (BI), High-Risk Public Trust (T4).Responsibilities:Determine the appropriate level of initial investigation and reinvestigation depending on the position's designation levelConduct preliminary record checks of the Office of Personnel Management's Central Verification System (CVS) to determine if a current reciprocal investigation meets position designation requirementsInvite the individual into NBIS eApp (electronic application) and assist with eApp access issuesDetermine if additional inquiries are necessary to resolve discrepant, negative or contradictory informationFingerprint applicants and employees, conduct National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/National Law Enforcement. Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries; conduct credit checksRequired Qualifications:H.S.
