Qualifications

• 3 years of general investigative experience within the last 5 years and completion of “New Investigator” training and at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of specialized Federal background investigative experience within the last five years and at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of “New Investigator” training and at least a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct federal background investigations, including subject interviews and record reviews.
• Perform interviews with references, employers, neighbors, and other sources.
• Review and analyze records (criminal, employment, education, financial, and other public records).
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely written investigative reports.
• Meet strict quality, timeliness, and compliance standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
