Job summary

Crunch Fitness in Ocala, FL is seeking a Fitness Manager to lead the Personal Training department, grow the PT business, develop trainers, and create a strong member experience. The role requires coaching, selling, leadership, and keeping the department energized with Crunch’s unique energy.

You will manage schedules, hit department goals, train staff on sales and service, and uphold Crunch systems and standards. Opportunity to advance to Club Manager with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification is required.
• Nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification is preferred.
• A four-year related degree (Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, etc.) is desirable.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of qualified Personal Trainers.
• Keep the fitness team engaged, productive, and aligned with company standards.
• Lead regular one-on-one and team meetings to review performance and goals.
• Coach trainers on sales conversations, client service, programming, and member follow-up.
• Create growth opportunities for trainers when performance supports it.
• Manage trainer schedules, floor hours, and non-session hours within budgets.
• Address performance issues with GM support.
• Ensure members have access to a professional, energetic training team.
• Train staff on Crunch systems, standards, and current fitness trends.
• Oversee proper use of tools and documentation for PT services.
• Support member questions about fitness services and adhere to Time & Labor guidelines.
• Keep trainer certifications current and uploaded as required.
