Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, is seeking energetic Personal Trainers to work at our fitness center in San Jose, CA.

You will conduct fitness assessments, design personalized programs, build your client base, and guide members on proper use of equipment. There are opportunities to teach group classes and provide coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related field or NCCA certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Knowledge of exercise testing, prescription and equipment operation.

• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalized exercise programs to motivate and inspire your clients.
• Establish and maintain a personal training clientele.
• Provide guidance to members on proper use of equipment.
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful portfolio based on your availability. There are additional opportunities to teach group fitness classes and to provide coverage.

What we are looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design), and ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75. Plus One, an Optum Company, adheres to all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws as applicable.
