Job summary

Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks energetic Personal Trainers for a fitness center in San Jose, CA. You will conduct assessments, design personalized programs, and motivate clients to achieve goals.

Responsibilities include building a client base, guiding proper equipment use, and staying up-to-date with certifications. Opportunities exist to teach group classes and provide coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related field, or an NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing and prescription, and ability to operate fitness tools and equipment.

• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalized exercise programs to motivate and inspire your clients.
• Establish and maintain a personal training clientele.
• Provide guidance to members on proper use of equipment.
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful portfolio based on your availability. There are additional opportunities to teach group fitness classes and to provide coverage.

What we are looking for:
