Job summary

Plus One, an Optum Company, is seeking energetic Personal Trainers for our fitness center in Newport Beach, CA. Candidates will conduct fitness assessments and establish personal training programs to inspire clients. This role offers a great opportunity to develop a portfolio with additional options for teaching group classes.

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalized exercise programs to motivate and inspire clients.
• Establish and maintain a personal training clientele.
• Provide guidance to members on proper use of equipment.
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful portfolio based on your availability. There are additional opportunities to teach group fitness classes and to provide coverage.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design), and ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.

Pay and eligibility

For residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York City, and Washington only: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $45. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the hourly rate, Plus One offers a comprehensive benefits package (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
