Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, is seeking energetic Personal Trainers to join our fitness center in Des Moines, IA. You will conduct fitness assessments and tailor exercise programs to motivate clients, while building a personal training clientele and guiding members in proper equipment use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience with exercise testing and program design; ability to operate fitness tools and equipment.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic Personal Trainers to work at a high-profile company’s fitness center located in Des Moines, IA.

What you will do:

• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalized exercise programs to motivate and inspire your clients.
• Establish and maintain a personal training clientele.
• Provide guidance to members on proper use of equipment.
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful portfolio based on your availability. There are additional opportunities to teach group fitness classes and to provide coverage.

What we are looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design), and ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.
