Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks energetic Personal Trainers to work at a Des Moines fitness center. You will conduct fitness assessments, design personalized programs, and grow a personal training clientele in a supportive, hospitality-driven environment.

Responsibilities include guiding members on equipment use, staying current with certifications, and potential opportunities to teach group classes.

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic Personal Trainers to work at a high-profile company’s fitness center located in Des Moines, IA.

What you will do:

• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalized exercise programs to motivate and inspire your clients.
• Establish and maintain a personal training clientele.
• Provide guidance to members on proper use of equipment.
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful portfolio based on your availability. There are additional opportunities to teach group fitness classes and to provide coverage.

What we are looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design), and ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
