Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, seeks a Group Fitness Instructor to lead Yoga classes at our San Diego, CA fitness center. The role focuses on engaging formats, motivating outcomes, and flexible coverage across locations.

Ideal candidates hold a national Group Fitness certification, CPR/AED, and experience in corporate wellness. Excellent communication and public speaking skills are essential to connect with participants and guests.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate, specialty class license (i.e. Zumba®, etc.) and current CPR /AED certification (no online CPR/AED certification accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
• Must communicate professionally using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and relay information to and from clients/guests.
• Ability to effectively engage participants as a public speaker.
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $60. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the hourly rate, Plus One offers a comprehensive benefits package (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
