Job summary

Comfort Keepers in the MidCoast Maine area is seeking caring individuals to join our team as Home Care Providers. Full-time and part-time positions are available to help seniors live safely and independently at home.

As a Caregiver, you will provide one-on-one companionship and personal care within clients' homes, helping with daily activities while fostering a warm, respectful relationship and improving overall well-being.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and reliable vehicle are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care to seniors in their own homes.
• Establish open communication and build friendly relationships with seniors and their families.
• Assist with daily tasks such as light housekeeping and organization.
• Accompany seniors to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Support transportation, ambulation, and transfers.
• Encourage activity and a positive attitude in daily tasks and hobbies.
• Maintain a trusting, comforting home environment.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care to seniors in their own homes

• Organize transportation, ambulation and transfers

Desired Caregiver applicants will meet the following requirements

• One year of caregiving experience (preferred but not required)
• Valid Driver's License, Automobile Insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Minimum high school diploma or GED required
• Open availability strongly preferred
• Submit to Pre-Employment Drug Screening

Position Physical Demands

The work requires moderate to physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting clients in transfer activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear, reach, kneel, crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
