Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Ellsworth, ME is seeking caring caregivers to provide companionship, personal care and in‑home health support for seniors in Hancock County. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with flexible scheduling and a focus on improving daily life in the home.

• One year of caregiving experience (preferred but not required).
• Valid Driver's License, automobile Insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Open availability strongly preferred.
• Submit to Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care to seniors in their own homes
• Establish open communication and develop friendly relationships with seniors and their families
• Help seniors with daily tasks such as light housekeeping and organization
• Accompany seniors to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Organize transportation, ambulation and transfers
• Encourage activity and movement
• Inspire a positive, can-do attitude when it comes to daily tasks, appointments and hobbies
• Maintain a trusting and comforting environment in the home

Position Physical Demands:

The work requires moderate to physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting clients in transfer

activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear, reach, kneel, crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
